About the Course
Students complete 200 hours of practical electrolysis training with their instructor in a real studio setting. Together, the student and instructor create a weekly training schedule that fits the student’s availability.
All students learn the same core skills, including:
Technique, posture, and treatment flow
Safety, hygiene, and sterilization practices
Client communication and consultation
Confidence-building practice on a wide range of hair types
Treating clients under direct supervision
Using equipment and visual aids with confidence
Training is hands-on and personalized so students can progress at a pace that suits them. The program concludes with a final practical exam that includes both a hands-on and oral component

Aura

I came into electrolysis later in life. For 15 years, I worked in Public Relations. It was a great adventure, but the pandemic really changed my perspective and ignited my passion for a new career change.
Having been through the electrolysis process myself, I now help clients through their journey and teach students as they prepare for this great career path.
I graduated from Swanson's in 2021. My studio is currently in my home, but I will be looking to expand in the next few years.
I practice microscopic electrolysis, using a Ziess microscopic in my practice. This allows me to specialize in black and brown skin tones, as well as surgery prep for my trans clients. I do teach students who wish to start off using conventional tools, like a magnifying lamp or loupes. We all start somewhere and this program helps you master the fundamentals and beyond in this profession.
